How Yatai Ramen Began
Welcome to Yatai Ramen Japanese Izakaya. My family and I opened this place in 2016, right here at 2001 Coit Rd #140, Plano, TX. We’ve been running restaurants for a long time. Cooking and serving people good food is what we love. We wanted to share something special with Texas—something close to our hearts: the taste and feeling of Japan.
Inspired by Street Food Culture🚲
“Yatai” means mobile food stall in Japanese. In Japan, you’ll find Yatai lining the streets—small, cozy places where people eat, drink, and feel at home. We wanted to bring that same feeling here. When you walk into our restaurant, you’ll notice that it feels just like a little spot in Tokyo. That’s not by accident—we built it that way.
What Makes Us Different🍥
What sets us apart? It’s the variety and the vibe. We’re not just a ramen shop—we’re a full Japanese izakaya. That means you can enjoy drinks and small bites, just like people do after work in Japan. We serve over 14 kinds of ramen, plus rice bowls, gyozas, karaage, shishito peppers, and Japanese desserts. We also have a sake bar and a wide selection of Japanese beers. If you don’t eat soy or meat, we’ve got vegan and soy-free ramen too.
Why You Should Visit
Whether you’re new to Japanese food or it’s your favorite, Yatai Ramen has something for you. We welcome everyone—families, date nights, solo diners, and ramen lovers. Come in for the food, stay for the experience. We’ll make sure you leave full and happy.
